Cannondale's all-new Topstone Carbon takes gravel bikes to the next level with a suspension design Cannondale calls Kingpin. It's a super-light suspension that lets you ride harder on dirt and more smoothly on pavement and in the process offers better control, added traction, and more comfort over the rough stuff and the long haul. The best part, nothing of what you want in a performance gravel bike is sacrificed.
The Kingpin allows for up to 30mm of suspension, without the weight and complexity of a shock or linkages. A special thru-axle pivot in the seat tube allows engineered flex zones in the rear triangle and top tube to do their magic, absorbing bumps and vibration and improving comfort, traction, and control whether you're seated or standing.
And, the Topstone Carbon's suspension design is not one-size-fits all. Suspension and overall frame ride-feel is custom tuned by size through Cannondale manipulating the carbon layup and tube dimensions per bike size(there are five, XS to XL) to deliver the right amount of flex and stiffness for each rider. So all you need to do is get on and ride. And that's easier than ever with a refined geometry and rider position that delivers an experience that’s stable, composed, and comfortable without losing that spark.
