BMC Teammachine R Launch Week
What better place to reveal BMC’s new Teammachine R to the US audience than in Austin the week of the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. Developed in partnership with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, this new bike will make its US debut at Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop’s new location at 115 Sandra Muraida Way, suite 102, the week of October 15th and we’ll be hosting a full week of activities to celebrate and #RedefineRacing!
Come by Mellow Johnny’s new spot to check out the bike, join us for one or all of the planned rides and enjoy post-ride coffee and pastries on us, race the Driveway for FREE, and enjoy a bike-in movie!

BMC Presents – Crit Dreams, A film by Angus Morton.
A bike-in movie night. Bring your blanket or chairs and enjoy the film under the stars.
Crit Dreams tells the story of The American Cycling team as it tackles the 2023 American Criterium Cup season. The film follows the motivations, challenges, triumphs and tragedies of Summerhill, Craven and the team in what ultimately turns into a love story about racing, team, competition and redemption.
When: Wednesday, October 18th

When: Party starts at 7 pm, film at 8 pm
The film makes its premiere with an introduction from Angus Morton and a Q&A with stars Thomas Craven and Danny Summerhill.

Race the Driveway for FREE!
BMC is hosting a very special night of racing at the Driveway Series–and the racing is on us! Come out to race, spectate, and enjoy the food, racing action as well as a live DJ from Red Bull.
3:45 pm – Ride from Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop to the Driveway
4:45 pm – Cat 3/4/5 (35 minutes)
5:25 pm – Women Open (30 minutes)
6:00 pm – Pro /1/2/3/4 (50 minutes)

Ride Bikes With Us!
We’ll be riding bikes and drinking coffee all week long. Join us for one ride (or four!)
All rides leave from Mellow Johnny’s new location at 115 Sandra Muraida Way, Austin, TX —coffee and pastries hosted by BMC post-ride.
Wednesday 9 am: A Mellow Mellow Johnny’s Spin around Lady Bird Lake. Approximately 10 miles at a social pace.
Thursday 7 am: the weekly T&T Ride with Mellow Johnny’s and Violet Crown
Friday 9 am: Manager’s Ride aka the Super Secret Shop Ride aka The Friday Ride
Saturday: Pick your Poison! The Violet Crown 8:00 am Violet Cruise – 25 miles or 8:00 Middle of the Road – 45 miles
